Section 01

What is a hair system?

A hair replacement system is a non-surgical solution for men experiencing thinning hair, a receding hairline or more advanced hair loss.

Each system is individually selected, cut, fitted and blended to suit the client’s face shape, hair colour, density and lifestyle.

It is securely attached and worn continuously rather than removed each evening.

Clients sleep, shower, work, exercise and enjoy everyday life before returning for regular maintenance appointments.

This is not a wig that is removed every night. It becomes part of your everyday routine.

Section 03

How it works

Step One

Consultation

We discuss your hair loss, lifestyle, expectations and desired result. You will need a minimum of half an inch to an inch of hair at the sides towards the top of the head (the parietal ridge). If you are unsure whether you have enough hair, send us a few pictures on WhatsApp before booking.

Send photos on WhatsApp

Step Two

Choose Your System

We recommend the most suitable hair system based on your hair loss, density, colour, texture and lifestyle.

Step Three

Fitting

Your system is professionally fitted, cut and blended before being styled.

Step Four

Ongoing Maintenance

Regular maintenance appointments keep your system looking its best while allowing us to clean, remove and refit it professionally.

Section 04

Can I still live normally?

Yes. A professionally fitted hair system is designed to be lived in, not constantly worried about.

Exercise

You can train, run, lift weights and take part in most sports while wearing a hair system. Clients who exercise heavily or perspire more may need slightly more frequent maintenance appointments, especially during warmer weather.

Swimming

You can swim in swimming pools and in the sea. After swimming, chlorine or salt water should be rinsed out properly. Suitable conditioner and aftercare products should then be used to help protect the hair.

Showering

You can shower and wash your hair system. We provide clear guidance about washing frequency, suitable products and the correct washing technique.

Holidays

You can wear your system while travelling and on holiday, including in warm climates. Heat, strong sunlight, chlorine, salt water and more frequent washing may slightly reduce the lifespan of the hair system.

Sleeping

The system remains securely attached while you sleep. We explain how to minimise unnecessary friction and protect the hair as part of your aftercare advice.

Everyday life

Clients can work, socialise, wear hats and style their hair normally. Once they become familiar with the routine, most clients find that their hair system simply becomes part of everyday life.

Hair systems are durable, but they are not indestructible. Excessive heat, harsh products, constant exposure to chlorine or salt water and poor aftercare may reduce the lifespan of the hair. Individual advice will be provided during the consultation and fitting.

Section 05

What does maintenance involve?

Hair systems need to be professionally removed, cleaned and reapplied at regular intervals.

Most clients return every three to four weeks.

However, maintenance frequency varies depending on lifestyle, skin type, perspiration, exercise levels, attachment method and the time of year.

Some highly active clients may prefer maintenance every two weeks, particularly during summer.

Section 06

The correct aftercare makes a difference.

Hair replacement systems should be cared for using suitable products.

The correct shampoo, conditioner, daily moisture products and heat or UV protection can help keep the hair softer, more manageable and in better condition.

Hair Repair Club stocks a specialist range of aftercare products and will explain exactly what each client needs.

Clients do not need to purchase every available product. We only recommend products that are suitable for their individual hair system and lifestyle.

Section 07

How long will my hair system last?

A hair system commonly lasts approximately four to seven months, although this is not a guaranteed fixed lifespan.

Some clients prioritise an extremely lightweight and natural base, while others prefer greater durability. The advantages and compromises of different systems are explained clearly during the consultation.

The goal is to find the right balance of appearance, comfort, lifestyle and durability for you.

The lifespan depends on

  • The type and construction of the system
  • How often it is worn and washed
  • Exercise and perspiration
  • Sun exposure
  • Chlorine and salt water
  • Styling habits
  • The products used
  • How carefully it is maintained

Section 08

Will people know I am wearing one?

A professionally selected and fitted hair system should create a natural overall result.

The system must complement the client’s existing hair, colour, texture, density, face shape, age and preferred style. The cut and blend are just as important as the system itself.

Hair Repair Club does not believe in adding unnecessary density or creating an unrealistic hairline. The goal is a believable, wearable and personal result.

Section 10 — Specialist option

Realism first.

Ultra-Realistic Hair Replacement

A finer, lighter approach to hair replacement.

Ultra-realistic hair replacement result showing natural hair movement and styling

Our Ultra-Realistic systems use an ultra-thin skin base with V-looped hair to create an exceptionally lightweight system with a soft, natural appearance.

The finer construction allows for subtle density, natural movement and an extremely low-profile feel.

For clients looking for a softer, potentially more age-appropriate finish, or simply those who prefer the characteristics of an ultra-thin system, Ultra-Realistic offers another option alongside our standard hair replacement range.

Our standard systems continue to provide an exceptional natural result with a greater balance of durability and lifespan.

Two different systems.Ultra-thin. Lightweight. Soft. Natural.

Close-up of the ultra-thin base and hairline on a hair system

Who it suits

Ultra-Thin Base
An ultra-fine skin base that sits close to the scalp with a very low profile.
Exceptionally Lightweight
The fine construction creates very little bulk and an extremely light feel when worn.
V-Looped Hair
Hair is V-looped into the base rather than knotted, keeping the construction soft and fine.
Softer Density Options
Well suited to subtle, softer or more age-appropriate density.
Natural Movement
The finer construction allows the hair to move and separate freely.
Low-Profile Feel
A good fit for anyone who simply prefers the feel of an ultra-thin skin system.

The trade-off? Longevity.

The ultra-fine construction that gives these systems their lightweight feel also makes them more delicate.

Because of this, they require more frequent replacement than many of our standard systems.
